Occurrence of Chronic Budd-Chiari Syndrome in a Patient with Coeliac Disease

چکیده

The association of Budd-Chiari Syndrome (BCS) with coeliac disease has been understudied and underreported. Majority the cases this have reported from North Africa Southern Europe, due to a higher prevalence disease. BCS can present as acute, subacute, or chronic form is characterised by hepatic venous obstruction, either thrombotic non-thrombotic without any evidence sinusoidal obstruction syndrome, right heart failure constrictive pericarditis. Unlike patients alone, an underlying hypercoagulable state cannot be identified in most if associated BCS. Its incidence found low rest world. Here, we case Indian setting patient who was previously diagnosed six years back, maintained on gluten-free diet, now presented complaints identifiable aetiology.
